Global Reliability Lead


Summary of Role:
This position has overall responsibility for GLOBALFOUNDRIES' Product Reliability Engineering processes reporting directly to the VP of Central Engineering & Global Quality. The position is an integral member of the Global Quality Leadership team. Managing and driving quality through effective collaboration with the fab reliability teams, business units and product engineering to lead and inspire world class Quality.
This person will establish and administer reliability standards, processes and guide the global team to improve on-going reliability monitoring, establishing the GF standards and new reliability assessment techniques. This role will require a global sphere of influence across organizations and sites. Your work in this role will have a high degree of impact on the success of the overall organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
Establishing GLOBALFOUNDRIES' standards using technical resources, benchmarking and industry trends
Develop and implement Quality business processes by inventorying existing systems, assessing gaps and opportunities for improvement, collecting stakeholder and customer feedback and implementing robust business processes
Interfacing with Design & Test Engineering, Technology Research & Development, Process and Package Reliability teams, Failure Analysis and Business Units for qualification results and issues
Providing technical guidance and coaching to a team of global Reliability engineers
Provide strategic recommendations into planning based on upcoming company technology roadmaps, to insure qualification readiness
Utilize extensive knowledge of competitive and innovative strategies of business, industry and leadership benchmark practices to carry out strategy
Lead interactions with package, design, product and test engineering teams for FMEA and reliability risk assessment and mitigation of new products
Develop, align and communicate the functional groups mission, objectives and strategies as aligned to corporate strategic objectives
Foster an environment where innovative thinking and intelligent risk taking is promoted

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Experience / Education:
Bachelors in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline; with 12 years of relevant working experience; with 5 years of managerial experience
Language Fluency ??" Fluent in English Language ??" written & verbal
Ability to relocate to Malta, NY
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline; with 12 years of relevant working experience; with 5 years of managerial experience
PhD in Engineering or Science or a relevant technical discipline; with 12 years of relevant working experience; with 5 years of managerial experience
Advanced degree preferably electrical engineering
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
Ability to be highly effective in a matrix management organization
Strong background in customer and supplier engagements.
Good knowledge of wafer fabrication/integration process.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization particularly in a global environment and experience in working with external constituencies
Very strong ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
Ability to be highly effective in a matrix management organization
Good knowledge of wafer fabrication/integration process.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization particularly in a global environment and experience in working with external constituencies
Very strong ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work well within a globally matrixed team or environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
