Co-Op FACIL - MECH - Associate Degree Intern Equipment/Maintenance Technician

Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated Interns to fill Facilities Technician Positions. Several positions are open within the Facilities Department covering the Waste Water Treatment, Mechanical and Controls modules. These positions will support the ongoing operations of Facilities Systems required to support our 300mm Wafer Fabrication facility located in Malta, New York.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Utilize all Safety and Operational Risk Control procedures to coordinate work activities support GLOBALFOUNDRIES goal for zero safety accidents and production impacts
  • Assist in the development of effective Standard Operational Procedures (SOP???s) for assigned equipment and systems
  • Support Facilities Technicians to complete tasks required to support the maintenance excellence program.
  • Participate on teams required to resolve emergency situations that impact production
  • Support Facilities Technicians to complete projects required to support operational cost control initiatives
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) program identify and correct operational issues before they impact production
  • Assist technician staff as required to support projects required to repair equipment
  • Support additional initiatives as required to support the operations of the Fab 8 facility

Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
  • Currently enrolled in a Facilities Engineering or Energy Management Degree Program
  • Dynamic, resourceful self-starter with good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and able to write SOP???s and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP???s)
  • Available and willing to flex work hours as needed to support emergency operational issue

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing
    and process equipment
  • Able to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure
    appropriate computing and analysis of production information
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete
    tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an
    environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness
  • Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train
    new team members as needed and other duties as assigned; able to handle
    multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities
  • Proficiency with software applications: Microsoft Office, Google
    Suite
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control methodologies
    & systems
  • Equipment or process maintenance experience in semi-conductor
    manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Lean processes & activities and Kaizen teams

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
